To be and to do are different concepts, although many people pay particular attention to the latter. If you believe that your life is dedicated to doing, then you do not understand yourself….
When you reach certain states of being, it’s difficult to avoid success in what you do in life… The irony of life is that once you stop caring about prosperity and worldly success, the path is open for them and they enter your life by themselves. (Neale Donald Walsch “Conversations with God”)
When your vibration is not in alignment with the desired results of your actions, then whatever actions you take, you will not be able to achieve these results. (Esther Hicks “Law of Attraction”)
Last weekend I attended a psychological training session on self-development. The age of most of the participants was 30-50 years. There was one intuition exercise at the training session. Everyone had to draw a simple picture on a piece of paper, reflecting their main dream (purpose) in life at that moment, and then fold this paper, so that the picture was not visible. After this the participants exchanged papers, then again, and again, and again, and finally it was impossible to keep track of who was holding your piece of paper with your dream. Then everyone laid out the pieces of paper in their hands around the room. The task was to intuitively try to feel where your paper is and find it as quickly as possible – preferably, immediately – rather than by going about checking all the papers in the room.
I completely failed at the task and did not find my paper at all (after the exercise ended, an angel in the face of an American called Eugene brought it to me – it had been put into a flowerpot – and thus contributed to the realization (only virtual, for the time being) of my dream – for this I am very grateful to him). But in the process of searching, I opened a lot of other people’s papers and got acquainted with what the participants of the training session dreamt of. Most of the pictures were easy to guess and represented signs of the dollar, the euro, as well as pictures of houses. There were even more (significantly more) of these, than there were of hearts pierced with an arrow, of which there were also a lot.
As the saying goes – “If you’re so smart, why are you so poor?” Why then are so many of us faced with the fact that money does not come easily? And what needs to be done so that money starts to come effortlessly and freely? And so that it becomes simply a by-product of activities which bring joy and pleasure by themselves?
The answer is that you do not have to do anything. Or rather, that doing something will not help at all. For it is necessary not to do, but to be. This means to change not the mode of action, but the state of consciousness (or level of vibrations, level of energy), which we are at. This state of consciousness is determined by and felt through the emotions which we experience, and the thoughts which arise in us.
With the right (sufficiently high) state of consciousness, we shall achieve success in any of our activities, especially without exerting any effort. In other words, the main thing is the presence of the correct internal energy, while the point of its application does not matter. If, however, the level of vibrations is not high enough, we will either need to exert great effort, or it can even be that success is entirely unattainable.
Fred Dodson in his book “Levels of Energy” envisions energy levels as a scale of hypothetical points from 0 to 1000 (hereinafter I generally – but not always – follow this scale). The higher on this scale we are, the easier it is for us to achieve our goals. 1000 is the highest level; this is the level of the Buddha, Jesus, etc. This is the level at which thought can produce immediate effect. The levels from 600 to 1000 are the levels at which different saints and prophets abide. Thought still inevitably produces an effect, but the lower we go down on the scale, the longer the time interval between thought and its fulfillment (embodiment in reality) becomes. These are the levels at which miracles exist and can occur (or at least what ordinary people call miracles). These are the levels at which the law of cause and effect ceases to apply.
However, for now we are interested in levels somewhat lower than that. The levels from 0 to 600 on the scale can be divided into 3 blocks of 200 hypothetical points each. The levels from 0 to 200 (corresponding to tamas in Hinduism) are levels of low energy. Here lives fear, depression, anger, etc. At the lower end of this spectrum (characterized by depression, fear, guilt, etc.) success is almost impossible to achieve, while at the higher end (anger, aggression, contempt) – it is possible only through crime and great effort. Here lies the vibration center of some successful people; those who came to their success through not entirely fair ways. It is the vibrations of these low levels that prevent us from succeeding, and, in the event that success is actually achieved, from getting pleasure and satisfaction from it. Vibrations of these levels are furthest from happiness.
The levels from 200 to 400 (rajas in Hinduism) are levels of average energy – here success can be achieved, but it comes at the price of putting in great effort. Again – as the level gets higher, less effort needs to be applied. It is here, closer to level 400 and up or down from that point, that successful businessmen belong, as well as what is known as worldly success in general. The levels from 400 to 600 (sattwa in Hinduism) are levels at which success could be achieved most easily, but, as we move away from the 400 mark, worldly success begins to interest us less and less. Here we find (real) scientists, musicians, artists and many others (and these would be those musicians and artists, for whom their art is more important than the money they receive).
Of course, our consciousness does not remain at an exact, specific level. Rather, it represents some distribution over different levels – at some we are more present, and at some – less. In addition, it is redistributed between these levels, even within just one single day, for we are affected by external events, diseases, fatigue, etc.
From the point of view of being, it is important to remove the focus of your attention from low-level vibrations, and to direct it upwards. We must constantly monitor our state of consciousness, and when we happen to be at the lower levels of consciousness, we must consciously raise it.
How do we raise it? Fred Dodson offers one technique, which appeals to me and which I use. He calls it scripting. Imagine that you are in the year 2021 (3 years from now – 2018); or in 2023 (5 years from now). Imagine your life in this distant (from today) time. In this time those goals that you are just setting now have already been achieved. Thus, every day you should spend 10 minutes to write (or speak aloud verbally) and describe some small event from that future life. For example, if your goal is to buy a house, then in the future this house has already been bought. So you can invite guests into it, repair it, communicate with neighbors, write letters to your friends about the house, etc.
This technique helps to transit from one’s current not-always-that-joyful reality into a beautiful future. And to increase one’s current level of vibration. At the same time, it helps you to understand more precisely, what kind of house you really want to buy. Or perhaps – if you need to buy it at all…
